Match Day 3 : Liverpool v Spurs 3-0

Good game from Liverpool yesterday at White Hart Lane. The Reds manage to beat Spurs 3-0 goal courtesy from Raheem Sterling, our captain Steven Gerrard and new boy Alberto Moreno.

Spurs now becoming our favourite team to meet in the league now. In the past three games, we beat them 5-0, 4-0 and now 3-0. 12 goals, no goals conceded and total domination. You can't ask for more.

My man of the match is Raheem Sterling. Should have a hat-trick in that match if he's more composed in front of goal. Great link up play with Sturridge and our latest signing Mario Balotelli showed that he will play a major part in our campaign this season.

Next, my view on our new boy - Mario Balotelli. Finally made his debut yesterday after arriving from Milan. Missed two easy goals but show a lot of promise. The maverick Italian striker gives us another dimension in our attacking force now. I hope he will form a deadly strike force with Raheem and Daniel this season onwards.

Finally, I think Joe Allen continues to become a passenger in the team. He only made 11 passes in that match - not a very good by his standard. I can give 5/10 for performance. Although he won a penalty for us, it was very soft penalty and he should not going down easily with a foul like that. I hope our boss, Brendan Rodgers will think again before naming him in the first eleven.

That's all for now. The league will be resumed on 12th September after the international break.
